Idler Upgrades
There are several upgrades on the market today. All are different and some are not worth the ease of installation.
Beware however that if you are looking to update the 'bellows' style idler on a short hood very few of these upgrades
will work. Additional internal wiring is required with these machines..


ALL of the OEM Lincoln parts for idler upgrades are available from Lincoln Electric. The cost is roughly the same as
other upgrades. Lincoln offers a 1 year warranty on all OEM parts.

Mounting hardware such as #8-32 screws and nuts are not included. You will also have to supply the 1/8npt
plug needed in the manifold where vacuum line was.

I have had a machine shop fab up throttle levers for the Marvel Schebler carb. You will need to let me know
whether you are purchasing a new carb or you need the throttle lever.



















With these parts your machine will be identical to a newer Lincoln SA-200. The wiring schematics you can find on the
Lincoln website will be the same, one will be included with your installation kit.

Zenith throttle lever and shaft.
This is the throttle lever style that is required to
properly install an auto idler upgrade. The end piece
with the 2 holes on it can be purchased from me to
upgrade your current carb to the style needed for the
idler upgrade.
Any Lincoln service facility as well
as your Owners Manual will be
able to properly and accurately
troubleshoot and repair this
upgrade with readily available IN
STOCK parts.

purchased and installed the Lincoln Idler kit.
He loves it, and found it easier to install than any other.
As you can see the adjustable idler linkage and mounting bracket are atleast twice as thick as other kits.
